GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Goals from senior
Meghan Bojanowski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) and junior
Maura Gifford (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) helped pave the way for a 2-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference win over Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday.
Prior to the game, both teams held a moment a silence for former Gwynedd-Mercy Field Hockey Player Kristy Kelleher, who tragically lost her life this summer in an auto accident.

The Griffins (3-4, 1-0 CSAC) get their first conference win and their first shutout of the season.
Gwynedd dominated for most of the game, outshooting the Gators, 17-1, and taking 11 corner kicks.
Bojanowski got GM on the board in the 28th minute off a nice feed from freshman
Megan Gifford (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) to beat Gator goalie Heather Lancellotti on a breakaway.
It became 2-0 early in the second when Gifford settled a ball just inside the box and fired a rocket shot in the net to add to the lead.
Lancellotti would make six saves on the day for Notre Dame (3-2, 0-1 CSAC). Gwynedd keeper
Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) recorded her first collegiate shutout.
Gwynedd-Mercy will travel to Neumann on Tuesday in CSAC action in a 6 p.m. start.
