GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy won its third game in a row in a 5-0 shutout win over Cedar Crest Saturday afternoon.

Maria Karidas (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) netted two goals while senior
Kelsey Deveney (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) added a score and two assists. Senior
Erin Gorenflo (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) added a tally and a helper to improve the Griffins to 9-3 and 2-1 in conference play.
Goalie
Kelly Kruk (Phoenixville, Pa./Methacton) needed four saves to record her third shuout of the season, and second this week.
Gorenflo and Karidas netted goals in the first half to help build a 2-0 lead at the break. Deveney opened the scoring in the second with an assist from junior
Sarah Jackson (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) in the 47th minute.
Junior
Brianne Kline (York, Pa./Central York) made it 4-0 at the 67:58 mark. Karidas would add her second of the day less than a minute later.
Lindsay Harrison recorded 13 saves for the Falcons (5-7, 1-2 CSAC).
Gwynedd-Mercy will look to make it four in a row when they host Richard Stockton here on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. start.
