SCRANTON, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy led early on, but the Griffins saw Marywood net three unanswered goals in a 3-1 CSAC loss at the Pacers in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The Griffins, who were on a season-high five-game win streak coming into today, have clinched the #5 playoff seed and will play at #4 Rosemont on Monday in quarterfinal action.

Christine Michalski (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara) made it 1-0 in the 10th minute as she got behind a few Pacer defenders off a cross and a defensive misplay to score her first goal of the season.
Marywood answered four minutes later with the equalizer from Siobhan Blancaflor. In the 17th minute, Blancafor struck again, this time assisting on a score from Emma Nye where it stayed 2-1 into the half.
GM, who was outshot 16-6 for the game, looked for their own equalizer, but it was Blancaflor who added an insurance goal in the 54th minute on a header goal past Griffin goalie
