BOX SCORE

SCRANTON, PA. – A goal and an assist from junior Maura Gifford (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) helped Gwynedd-Mercy record a 2-0 shutout CSAC win at Keystone to help cement a playoff berth.

The Griffins (8-7-2, 5-2-2 CSAC), who won their season-high fourth-straight game, have clinched one of the six spots for the conference tournament. They currently are in fifth place and with two more wins to close the season and some help, are able to move up to a #4 seed and a first-round home playoff game.

Senior Meghan Bojanowski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) also scored for GM, as the Griffins outshot the Giants, 24-3.

Freshman goalie Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) needed to make one save to register her seventh shutout on the season, and fourth in a row.

Gwynedd-Mercy will welcome Baptist Bible on Tuesday night in a 7 p.m. start.
