GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Dickinson broke open a one-goal halftime lead with four in the second stanza to pull away from Gwynedd-Mercy, 5-0, Wednesday night.

Nicolas Tierno netted a tally for the Red Devils with 1:23 remaining in the first half as both teams combined for 12 shots in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Dickinson netted three goals in the first 10 minutes to take the wind out of Gwynedd's sails. Javier Mena assisted on all three of those scores.

The Griffins (1-5) looked to get on the board late in the game, as a penalty kick was awarded to senior Tim Sweeney (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Jugde), but his attempt sailed over the crossbar.

Dickinson (3-1-2) outshot GM,18-9, for the game.

Gwynedd-Mercy will host Susquehanna here on Saturday starting at 3 p.m.
