Gwen Conte (Cherry Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace) netted a pair of goals but it was Wesley doubling up Gwynedd-Mercy, 4-2, in the season opener for both teams.
Conte's first of the night came via a penalty kick in the 33rd minute as the Griffins cut into a 2-0 first-half deficit.
It stayed 2-1 into the second half where Wesley reclaimed a two-goal edge in the 51st minute. Conte struck again in the 70th minute slipping a shot behind Wolverine keeper Sydney Kahan to put GM back in business.
Wesley would tack on an insurance tally in the 84th minute to account for the final score.
Shots were in favor of the Wolverines, 13-12, but Gwynedd had seven corners compared to just two for Wesley.

Abby Reed (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) recorded five saves.
The Griffins will get back at it this weekend as they partake in the Crusader Cup hosted by Alvernia. On Saturday, GM will battle Albright at 11 a.m. then take on the host Crusaders on Sunday at 2 p.m.
