BALTIMORE, MD. -- Gwynedd-Mercy shutout Notre Dame (Md.) 2-0 in the regular season finale, cementing a #5 seeding in next week's CSAC Tournament.

The Griffins (7-9-3, 7-2-2 CSAC) will play at #4 seeded Cabrini in a first-round game on Monday, October 31st at 5 p.m.

Freshman Casey Goughan (Philadelphia, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) scored her first collegiate goal in the 40th minute of the first half with an assist from junior Meghan Bojanowski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert).

Senior Brigid Dowling (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) added an unassisted tally in second half as the teams played through worsening weather conditions.

Goalie Abby Reed (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) needed just one save as the senior recorded her sixth shutout of the season.

GM outshot the Gators (7-10, 4-7 CSAC), 17-1, and had 12 corner kicks.
