BOX SCORE

ROSEMONT, PA. -- Sophomore Trevor Sotell (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) netted the game-winner 7:08 into the first overtime to give Gwynedd-Mercy a huge 1-0 CSAC win at Rosemont on Saturday.

With the victory, the Griffins (4-12, 2-4 CSAC) remain in the hunt for a playoff berth. Rosemont fell to 7-5-2 and 3-3-1 in conference play.

Despite being outshot, 21-8 and 10-2 in the first half, Gwynedd was able to keep the Ravens off the board, thanks in part to goalie Mike Leonard (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) as the senior made 10 saves, including two in the extra session, for his third shutout of the year.

Nick Hulayew made one save for Rosemont.

Junior Dan Panepresso (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) set up Sotell on the game-winning goal. It is the first overtime win in two contests this season.

The Griffins have two big conference games next week which can decide their postseason fate. On Tuesday, they'll travel to Baptist Bible in a 3:30 start and on Saturday, will host Immaculata at 12 p.m.
