SCRANTON, PA. -- Junior Brigid Dowling (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) had a goal and assisted on two more to help lead Gwynedd-Mercy to a 4-0 CSAC win over Baptist Bible. The game was played at Marywood's turf field.

Senior Kasey Reid (Mercerville, N.J./Steinert), junior Meghan Bojanowski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert), and sophomore Michelle Pool (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) also scored for the Griffins (3-8-2, 3-2-1 CSAC), who remain in the thick of a playoff spot.

Gwynedd did their work early, as Dowling set up both goals just 18 minutes into the contest. In the 22nd minute, Pool made it 3-0 with her first goal of the season.

It stayed that way until 34 seconds into the second half as Dowling added the last of the goals with an assist from senior Gwen Conte (Cherry Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace).

Senior Abby Reed (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) needed one save to record her third shutout on the year.

GM outshot the Defenders (5-7-1, 2-4-1 CSAC), 22-3 while taking 11 corner kicks.

The Griffins will lace them back up on Saturday when they travel to Cabrini in a 12 p.m. start.
