Griffins Suffer Fourth Loss In A Row

RADNOR, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy lost its fourth game in a row on Wednesday, falling at Cabrini in CSAC action, 4-0.

Cabrini led 1-0 just seven minutes into the contest and held that lead until later in the second half before a three-goal burst in the last 25 minutes.

The Cavalier's Eric Collins scored twice and added an assist while Jim Mattock and George Lambritsios each had a goal and a helper.

Senior goalie Mike Leonard (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) recorded three saves for the Griffins (3-12, 1-4 CSAC). Senior Tim Sweeney (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) had two of the team's three shots.

Gwynedd-Mercy plays at Rosemont on Saturday needing a win to keep alive their playoff hopes. Start time is slated for 1 p.m.
