Nicole Porrecca

Nikki Porrecca is in her first season as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Gwynedd-Mercy College. Porrecca comes to GMC after officiating for PIAA for the last two years while also coaching high school club teams for Dynamite Lacrosse based out of Limerick, Pa. She also coached the Varsity squad at Perkiomen Valley High School for six years while raising her family.
 
Prior to her move to Collegeville, Porrecca was the head women’s lacrosse and assistant field hockey coach at Widener University in Chester, Pa. During her five years at Widener, she rallied the program to earn MAC playoff berths in her last three seasons. Her final season was most rewarding with breaking two school records, most wins in a season (11) and most consecutive wins (8).
 
Porrecca began her college coaching career at Millersville University as the assistant for four years. While coaching she also earned her master’s degree in Sport Administration.  Also an undergrad at Millersville, Porrecca was a four-year letter winner and co-captain her senior year for the lacrosse team. She was a member of two PSAC playoff berths, and a coach for one. The Millersville Lady Mauraders also hosted and won ECAC’s during her third year of coaching.
 
Porrecca is a native of Delaware County, Pa. She grew up in Aldan and attended Penn Wood Senior High School. Porrecca now resides in Collegeville with her husband, Tom and children, Kevin and Maya.
