Pete O'Hara

Pete O'Hara was named the Gwynedd Mercy University head baseball coach in October of 2020. He becomes the second coach in program history for the Griffins. Under his leadership Gwynedd Mercy University earned five wins in a COVID-19 shortened 2021 season (5-16, 5-13) and made the 2022 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Championship Tournament as the #4 seed with a 17-22 overall mark and a 10-8 league standing. The 2022 season included All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) seasons from Jake Martell '22 (1st Team), T.J. Brasier  '22 (2nd Team), Billy Collins '22 (Hatfield, Pa.) (2nd Team), and D3Baseball.com All-Region 5 (3rd Team) performer Mitchell Bramsway '24.

A local standout, O'Hara enjoyed a prosperous career at nearby Delaware Valley University where he earned both his bachelor's degree (2012) and a master's degree in business administration in 2014. As an Aggie, O'Hara was a three-time all-conference standout on the diamond who ranks among the leaders in the Delaware Valley University record books in several offensive categories. O'Hara also was a member of the football team that saw a pair of conference championships and appearances in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Tournament. He was named the Delaware Valley University Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2014 and was a three-time member of both the fall and spring Mid-American Conference (MAC) academic honor rolls as a dual-sport athlete.

From there, O'Hara spent time as a volunteer assistant with NCAA Division I St. Joseph University (2017-2019). He moved into a full-time assistant position in 2018, taking over responsibility for the Hawk outfielders and base-running efforts. He also was part of the coaching staffs at his alma mater and Arcadia University.

Local to the area, O'Hara attended Council Rock North High School and is from New Hope, Pennsylvania.
