Devines Return to AEC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Lancaster, Pa. – (4/21/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University brothers, junior attack Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) and senior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) retuned to the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll for their play in a 10-5 loss versus league rival, Marywood University (L, 5-10 on Apr. 16). The younger Devine scored the game's first goal (1-0, 12:26, 1QTR) in a three-goal performance, while the older took the loss (6-8) despite 15 saves and a ground ball.

Marywood University senior midfielder Dillon Kane (Collegeville, Pa.) was named the AEC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, while the AEC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week went to Immaculata University junior goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow (Willow Grove, Pa.). The Devines were joined on the AEC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll by Immaculata University graduate attack David Azzarano (Wayne, Pa.), Marywood University freshman midfielder Luke Ament (Nazareth, Pa.), as well as Neumann University senior face-off Jake Methlie (Springfield, Pa.) and junior attack Brendan Boschi (Litchfield, N.H.).

Gwynedd Mercy University (6-8, 2-2) took their last regular-season road trip of the season with an AEC contest at Marywood University. Following Devine’s opening goal, the Pacers finished the frame out with a 4-0 run that spurred them for an eventual 10-5 win over the Griffins. Devine finished with three of the Griffins five goals; his first, third-quarter goal was a man-up goal. The Red and Gold were 1-for-3 (.333) with the extra player. In support of his brother’s goalkeeping efforts, Gwynedd Mercy University spread 25 ground balls across 13 Griffins, won three face-offs (3-of-19, .158), and were successful on 16-of-22 (.727) of their clear attempts against the Pacers.

Gwynedd Mercy University concludes their AEC regular season schedule next Wednesday, April 23, when they host Marymount University for a 7:00 p.m. finale.
