Clark Returns to AEC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
 
Lancaster, Pa. – (12/12/2022) – Gwynedd Mercy University junior guard Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.) returned to the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Basketball Honor Roll thanks to a 21-point performance in the Griffins’ 67-53 loss at Chestnut Hill College. Clark hit 9-of-18 (.500) from the floor and also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to keep Gwynedd Mercy University competitive against their National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II opponent.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University (2-6) took a 14-4 (14:09) lead in the first six minutes of the affair, but were outscored 33-16 during the remainder of the first half (37-30). The Griffins closed the gap to as few as two points, 38-36 (16:47), early in the second half. Unfortunately, Chestnut Hill College (3-7) closed the contest with another lop-sided stretch; 29-16. Gwynedd Mercy University forced 16 Chestnut Hill College turnovers without recording a steal and six Griffins recorded at least one assist.
 
Clark's double-digit game was his eighth straight to start the season. He has been the Griffins' leading rebounder, or shared the team lead in rebounds, in six of those contests.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Monday, December 12, when they host Cairn University in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
