ASTON, PA. -- The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named 677 of its student-athletes, with 70 from Gwynedd Mercy, to the 2015-16 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester(s) of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
The total number of student-athletes honored surpasses last year's winter/spring total by 104 (573).
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner Adrienne Mullikin. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
Student-athletes in the sports of men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's and women's lacrosse, men's tennis, and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
