ASTON, PA. -- The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named 576 student-athletes to the Fall 2015 CSAC All-Academic Team. Gwynedd Mercy placed 58 on the list, which was fourth most of the 12 teams in the conference, in the sports of men's cross country, women's cross country, field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's tennis, and volleyball.
The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner Jennifer Dubow. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
Of the 576 student-athletes selected, 45 were First Team All-CSAC selections in their respective sports, while 48 were Second Team picks and 36 were Honorable Mention All-CSAC selections. Additionally, 50 honorees were named to their sport's All-Sportsmanship Team.
