ASTON, PA. -- The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named 576 student-athletes to the Fall 2014 CSAC All-Academic Team. The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended with their work on and off the playing fields," said CSAC Commissioner Jennifer Dubow. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
Gwynedd Mercy had 53 student-athletes on the list, which was tied for fourth most. Immaculata led all institutions with 82 honorees, followed by Marywood (74), Cabrini (64), and Neumann (53) rounding out the top five.
Of the 576 student-athletes selected, 42 were First Team All-CSAC selections in their respective sports, while 46 were Second Team picks and 29 were Honorable Mention All-CSAC selections. Additionally, 50 honorees were named to their sport's All-Sportsmanship Team.
